Peter failed by Going Back to His Old Profession.
John 21:3-7 “I’m going out to fish,” Simon Peter told them, and they said, “We’ll go with you.” So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing. 4 Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus. 5 He called out to them, “Friends, haven’t you any fish?” “No,” they answered. 6 He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish. 7 Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” As soon as Simon Peter heard him say, “It is the Lord,” he wrapped his outer garment around him (for he had taken it off) and jumped intothe water.
Peter was so discouraged. The more he love Jesus, the more he had failed him. The last time he failed Jesus by denying Him, Jesus's Eyes met his eyes. May be at that moment, Jesus would have said through his eyes, "Peter didn't I tell you that you are going to deny me 3 times today?". "Peter, you told me that " you will be with me till the end", "you were even ready to give your life for me" But You have failed me! At that moment, Peter's heart broke, He wept bitterly. So now Jesus had died, and have been Buried. All the disciples were in a room. Finding it hard to comprehend the events that have just taken place. Then Peter decides to go fishing. His profession, he had left to follow Jesus.
With him all the other disciples too followed him. The whole night they couldn't catch even one fish. In the morning, a person from the shore, shouts at them & says, Cast your nets to the right. And as a result, They caught a net full of fish. At that moment, John remembers the same incident taking place to them when Jesus Called them to full time ministry. John says to Peter, Hey, "That's HIM!"

The moment Peter knew it was Jesus who was waiting for them! He just jumped out of the boat & swam up to Jesus. Though he failed many times in life, He still loved Jesus very much. Jesus knew that too. Today when you fail, it doesn't mean that you don't love Jesus. Jesus was preparing food for them at the seashore. Peter would have tried to say "Jesus, I am sorry for denying you". But Jesus just ignored it and told him, come "I have prepared food for you. You all must be tired, come and eat. You have all gone through a hard time together".... Jesus never asked Peter why he denied him!
You may have been serving the Lord with a true heart, Sharing the gospel of Christ to many. You were a great testimony to many. But one day, you may have failed, and as a result, you have gone back to your old profession, saying "I am a failure, how can I now minister unto the Lord?" How can I share the gospel? How can I lead in Worship? How can I conduct Home cells? Peter did the same thing. Just because you have failed, it doesn't mean that the call of God in you life has been taken off. It will remain with you till the last breath you take. And also you cannot run away from the call of God in your life. Only when you fulfill the call, that you will have satisfaction. When you fail, Accept your fault, Confess your sin's & get back on track. God will use you.
