Peter's SEVEN Falls -1

Dear friend, We will all fall and get up till the Lords return. Proverbs 24:16 says, even though the righteous fall seven times, he will rise up. We are all living in a fallen world. But when the righteous fall, they will not stay long in that fallen position. They will rise up confessing their sins to the Lord & the Lord is gracious enough to forgive all their sins. Peter fell seven times in his walk with the Lord. But he rose up from his fallen position & went on to be a great apostle of the Lord.

Peter's SEVEN Falls Part - 2

Peter failed when he didn't realize how important the CROSS was!

Peter's SEVEN Falls - Part 3

Peter Failed because he had a willing spirit but a weak flesh.

Text: Mathew 26:36-41 38 Then Jesus went with them to a garden called Gethsemane and told his disciples  "Stay here while I go over there and pray." Taking along Peter and two sons of Zebedee, he plunged into an agonizing sorrow. Then he said, "This sorrow is crushing my life out. Stay here and keep vigil with me." 39 Going a little ahead, he fell on his face, praying, "My Father, if there is any way, get me out of this. But please, not what I want. You, what you want?". 41 When he came back to his disciples, he found them sound sleep. He said to peter, "Can't you stick it out with me a single hour? stay alert; be in Prayer so you don't wonder into temptation without even knowing you're in danger. There is a part of you that is eager, ready for anything in God. But there's another part that's as lazy as an old dog sleeping by the fire." (The Message)

Jesus knew the time has come for Him to fulfill the purpose He had come into

Peter's SEVEN Falls - Part 4

Peter Failed because he forgot that VENGEANCE BELONGS TO GOD.
Text: Mathew 26:50-52

47 The words were barely out of his mouth when Judas (the one from the Twelve) showed up, and with him a gang from the high priests and religious leaders brandishing swords and clubs. 48 The betrayer had worked out a sign with them: “The one I kiss, that’s the one—seize him.” 49 He went straight to Jesus, greeted him, “How are you, Rabbi?” and kissed him. 50 Jesus said, “Friend, why this charade?” 51 Then they came on him—grabbed him and roughed him up. One of those with Jesus pulled his sword and, taking a swing at the Chief Priest’s servant, cut off his ear. 52 Jesus said, “Put your sword back where it belongs. 53 All who use swords are destroyed by swords. 54 Don’t you realize that I am able right now to call to my Father, and twelve companies—more, if I want them—of fighting angels would be here, battle-ready? But if I did that, how would the Scriptures come true that say this is the way it has to be?”

The time came for Judas to betray Jesus with a Kiss. And with that kiss, the religious leaders men arrested Jesus. At that moment, Peter who had with him a small sward with him all the time, cut off the chief priest's servants ear. Then Jesus told Peter, Why did you do that? Why do you try to take revenge? Don't you know that I will take care of it?

Peter's SEVEN Fall's - Part 6

Peter failed by DENYING the Lord!

Text: Mathew 26:58-75 (Msg) 57 The gang that had seized Jesus led him before Caiaphas the Chief Priest, where the religion scholars and leaders had assembled. Peter followed at a safe distance until they got to the Chief Priest’s courtyard. 58 Then he slipped in and mingled with the servants, watching to see how things would turn out. 59 The high priests, conspiring with the Jewish Council, tried to cook up charges against Jesus in order to sentence him to death. 60 But even though many stepped up, making up one false accusation after another, nothing was believable. 61 Finally two men came forward with this: “He said, ‘I can tear down this Temple of God and after three days rebuild it.’" 62 The Chief Priest stood up and said, “What do you have to say to the accusation?” 63 Jesus kept silent.

Peter's SEVEN Fall's - Part 6

Peter failed by Going Back to His Old Profession.

John 21:3-7 “I’m going out to fish,” Simon Peter told them, and they said, “We’ll go with you.” So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing. 4 Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus. 5 He called out to them, “Friends, haven’t you any fish?” “No,” they answered. 6 He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish. 7 Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” As soon as Simon Peter heard him say, “It is the Lord,” he wrapped his outer garment around him (for he had taken it off) and jumped into
the water.

Peter was so discouraged. The more he love Jesus, the more he had failed him. The last time he failed Jesus by denying Him, Jesus's Eyes met his eyes. May be at that moment, Jesus would have said through his eyes, "Peter didn't I tell you that you are going to deny me 3 times today?". "Peter, you told me that " you will be with me till the end", "you were even ready to give your life for me" But You have failed me! At that moment, Peter's heart broke, He wept bitterly.  So now Jesus had died, and have been Buried. All the disciples were in a room. Finding it hard to comprehend the events that have just taken place. Then Peter decides to go fishing. His profession, he had left to follow Jesus.

Peter's SEVEN Fall's - Part 7

Peter failed by TRYING TO PLEASE THE CROWED.

Text: Galatians 2:11-21 11 When Cephas came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he stood condemned. 12 For before certain men came from James, he used to eat with the Gentiles. But when they arrived, he began to draw back and separate himself from the Gentiles because he was afraid of those who belonged to the circumcision group. 13 The other Jews joined him in his hypocrisy, so that by their hypocrisy even Barnabas was led astray.

When the Gentiles got saved and came into the church, the Christian Jew's said, in order for them to get saved, they need to be circumcised. This caused a big problem in the Early church. So all the leaders in the early church met at Jerusalem to discuss this matter (Acts 15). Jame's said, Salvation is a gift, It cannot be earned by rituals or work and came to the conclusion that the

God Is Able

Read | Ephesians 3:20-21
Jesus knew firsthand what it meant to live with limited financial resources, to have others--including family members--question His actions (Mark 3:21), and to suffer rejection by those He sought to serve (John 6:66). Yet, in spite of such opposition, Jesus never let circumstances control His emotions or dictate His actions. Instead, He chose to trust that the Father was able to carry out His Word.
We are called to follow the example of Christ by believing that God is able to do what He has promised. For instance, the Bible pledges eternal salvation for everyone who asks for forgiveness in Jesus' name (Heb. 7:25). The Son's death on the cross satisfied the demands of divine justice for all our sins--from "white lies" to unspeakably vile acts. When we have true faith in Jesus,

Place Your Life Before God

ROMANS 12:1-2 1 So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

Knowing Is Not Enough

"For merely listening to the law doesn't make us right with God. It is obeying the law that makes us right in his sight." - Romans 2:13 NLT.

Paul wrote the second chapter of Romans to Jewish readers who believed they had a special relationship to God because they knew and approved of the Law of God. Many believed this relationship made them above the Law, and they were not careful in their lifestyle. They excused behaviors that were wrong and trusted in their supposed privileged position to shield them from the consequences of their guilt.

How God Views the Self-Directed Man

Luke 12:16-21

We've all heard jokes about men who refuse to stop and ask for directions. But in reality, there's probably a good bit of truth to the stereotype, and it isn't limited to males. Plenty of men and women in this world zoom along without slowing down to ask for guidance.
If you were to look at the situation from a spiritual perspective, you'd see a world of lost souls desperately trying to save themselves. They think they can earn their way into heaven through hard work and the accumulation of good deeds. But they're wrong.
Today's passage from Luke describes a wealthy person who makes a lot of plans based only on his own thoughts, desires, and experience. Take the time to look at the passage again, and notice how many times he used the words "I" and "my." What you'll see is that his focus was squarely on himself. This parable is a sad picture of the self-directed man trying to make his own way and secure his own future with no help from anyone--including God.
The Lord didn't mince words: He called the man "fool" (v. 20). Worldly wisdom amounts to nothing in the eyes of our omniscient, all-wise Father (1 Cor. 1:20), and He expects His children to request and follow His guidance.
The message for us today is clear: When we figure out our own plans and take action with no thought about what God would advise, we are behaving like fools. The Lord has a plan for your life. He knows where you'll succeed and where you'll fail. Be wise and ask Him for directions.

Set On Self Destruction

Sinners are trapped and caught by their own evil deeds. They get lost and die because of their foolishness and lack of self-control." - Proverbs 5:22-23 CEV.
"God's Spirit doesn't make cowards out of us. The Spirit gives us power, love, and self-control." - 2 Timothy 1:7 CEV .
Some people seem to be more self-destructive than others. For reasons they may not fully understand, they continue in spirals of negative behaviors that destroy them. This self-inflicted tragedy, especially when it involves famous people, becomes overnight news. Hardly a week goes by that we do not hear of someone who has destroyed his or her life or reputation.

How To Pray for Others

Many Christians are fearful about praying with someone who is suffering because they don't know how to do so. But there are just a few simple requirments for being able to pray confidently for those who are sick or hurting.

First, WE NEED TO HAVE COMPASSION FOR OTHERS. This sounds obvious, but the sad truth is that we are often comsumed with our own problems and don't make time to care about others, much less pray for them. As we seek to identify with the suffering of others as best we can, God gives us the ability to pray fervently for His delieverence in their lives.

Second: WE MUST BE WILLING TI LISTEN. This is one of the most affirming, comforting, and healing things tyou can do for others. Instead of trying to fix problems by offering advice or sharing your own experience, try to express God's love and compassion. Listern patiently to people's stories. Then, go to the Lord together in prayer, and ask Him to speak directly into their specific situations. Just remember: unless you have permission, never share with others - even in the form of a prayer request - what hurting individuals tell you.

"Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken." Psalm 62:5-6 NLT.

Some of us if not all of us have known the frustration of being caught up in a situation we can't control and can't fix.
Are you suffering pressures, stress and pain from dealing with the consequences of a loved one's problem? Those pressures are very real, but even in the middle of that frustration and tension, you need to believe that there is hope. This kind of hope can be described as the confident expectation of something good. It is hope based on our knowledge of God and his willingness to meet us right where we are. He is here now and is ready to work in us and in our difficult circumstances.
