Recently, We were dining out with some family members when suddenly, one of them confessed that she had been watching a sleazy TV talk show. I was appalled, because this lady has always been a woman of prayer and great faith. And I promptly, but gently, reminded her of how this kind of "sloppy living" could hinder her prayers and her fellowship with the Lord. At that point, another relative confessed that she was in the habit of listening to music that contained offensive lyrics. She sounded apologetic, but she also made it clear that she had no intention of changing her listening habits.

அருமையானவர்களே பரத்திலிருந்து நமக்கு இளைப்பாறுதல் வேண்டும். நாம் நமது பாரத்தை ஒருநாளும் சுமக்கக் கூடாது. பிசாசு யார் மூலமாகிலும் நம்மைப் பாரப்படுத்துவான். தூரத்திலிருந்து வரும் கடிதத்தின் மூலமாவது, வார்த்தையின் மூலமாவது நம்மைப் பாரப்படுத்துவான். அந்த நேரத்திலே நமது பாரத்தை மனப்பூர்வமாய் ஆண்டவரிடத்தில் ஒப்படைக்க வேண்டும். இதுவரையிலும் இயேசுவை பாரம் சுமக்கிற ஒரு அருமையான தேவனாய் ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளாத பிள்ளைகள் இருக்கிறீர்கள் என்றால், நீங்கள் உங்கள் வாழ்க்கையை ஆண்டவருடைய கரத்தில் ஒப்படைத்து; "இயேசப்பா இன்றைக்கு நான் உம்மிடத்திலே வருகிறேன்.

Fulfill Your Calling

Tell Archippus: “See to it that you complete the work you have received in the Lord.” Colossians 4:17

The words that you have just read were written by the apostle Paul when he was in prison in Rome. Two evidences of his imprisonment that are found in the letter are the mention of his chains (Col. 4:3, 18) and the reference to a fellow prisoner named, Aristarchus (Col. 4:10). Paul’s letter was addressed to the believers in Colosse (Col. 1:2). Epaphras, whom Paul described as “our dear fellow servant” (Col. 1:7) brought the gospel to this city. The contents of the letter indicate that there were some doctrinal problems in the church. Paul, through his teaching, sought to correct these errors. Toward the end of the letter Paul took a moment to address the need of an individual in the church named Archippus. 

Jesus Is The Reason For The Season!!

What is the real meaning of Christmas? Is it the gifts under the tree, the lights in the windows, the cards in the mail, turkey dinners with family and friends, snow in the yard, stockings hanging in the living room, the "Merry Christmas" to those we pass? Is this really Christmas?
